1. Evening at Orchards Parks 4th of July Celebration

Celebrate the nation’s independence with your neighbors in Bentonville at this annual community celebration. The fun starts when food trucks open at 7 p.m., which is also when the free live concert begins. Stay until 9:30, so you can catch the fireworks show.

The 4th of July Celebration is free and open to the public, with parking throughout Memorial Park. Orchards Park is located at 1100 NE John DeShields Boulevard in Bentonville.

2. Train Station Park

This beautiful park is a great starting point to explore downtown Bentonville without spending a dime. It’s right across from the Bentonville Public Library, with a gazebo and landscaped gardens where you can read your latest book picks or just enjoy the weather. You’ll also find a dog station with water and waste bags in case you’re strolling with your pet.

You can also access the Downtown Trail from Train Station Park. This 1.5-mile route takes you past many local landmarks including the Walmart headquarters, Gilmore Park, and Austin Baggett Park. For a longer walk or bike ride, take the Downtown Trail to Razorback Greenway. Train Station Park is located at 400 South Main Street in Bentonville.

3. Bachman-Wilson House Tour

Step back in time and experience iconic architecture with a tour of the Bachman-Wilson House, which was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. It’s located on the grounds of the Crystal Bridges Museum, which spans 120 acres of natural land and also offers free admission to its collection of American art and exhibitions, although you may need to purchase a ticket for special events.

While it’s free to visit the Bachman-Wilson House, you still have to schedule your self-guided tour in advance. It’s open Monday and Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Thursday and Friday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., and weekends from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The address is 610 Museum Way, Bentonville.

4. Coler Mountain Bike Preserve

Did you know Bentonville is considered one of the world’s mountain biking capitals? Whether you’re new to the sport or a seasoned rider, we recommend checking out the 17 miles of trails at Coler Mountain Bike Preserve. From there, you can access more than 250 miles of natural mountain biking trails through the Ozarks and Northwest Arkansas. The preserve is found at 25000 NW Grove Lane.
