The daily limit for catfish and trout is five. You are only permitted to fish with a rod or pole from the shore or from a boat. Only non-motorized boats such as canoes, kayaks, and paddleboats are allowed on the lake.

3. Beaver Lake

It’s definitely worth the 22-mile drive to fish in Beaver Lake. The massive watershed basin covers 1,186 miles with 449 miles of shoreline to angle from. Access to the lake on paved roads runs through 12 parks. Year-round full-service marinas provide fishing guides and other necessities. Those in the know say March is the best time to hook crappy in the shallows, and from April to May, stripers are plentiful.

November is a good time to reel in striped and hybrid striped bass. If you want to keep largemouth and smallmouth bass, they must be 15 inches or longer, and you are only allowed six daily. The daily limit for striped and hybrid bass is three, and they must be longer than 20 inches. You can keep 15 crappies, but those shorter than 10 inches must be released.
