When the weather gets warmer, it’s time to get out of the house and get to work on some of those spring cleaning projects you’ve been putting off all winter long. It’s time to back that Palisade out of the garage, hook up your hose, and start spraying away. Some tips for keeping your Hyundai clean include an exterior wash that cleans your wheels, tires, windows, and mirrors.

Exterior Wash

If your Hyundai is in need of a good wash, remember to use a mild car detergent with a soft sponge or microfiber cloth for the exterior. Don’t forget the wheel wells, undercarriage, and areas behind the wheels where dirt and salt can accumulate. Your car will be sparkling in no time.

Waxing and Polishing

Consider waxing the exterior for added protection and shine. Use a polish or paint sealant to restore the paint’s luster. Give your car that extra sparkle it deserves.

Wheels & Tires

Time to give your wheels some love. Grab a dedicated wheel cleaner to tackle that brake dust and grime, then apply some tire cleaner for that extra shine. Don’t forget to check your tire pressure and add air as needed for optimal performance. Your car will thank you later!

Windows & Mirrors

Don’t overlook the importance of clear visibility while driving. Make sure to use a glass cleaner to clean both the windows and mirrors inside and outside of your vehicle. Use a microfiber cloth to avoid streaking.

If you own a Santa Cruz, you know it’s definitely been used this winter for all types of hauling for hunting, camping trips, or even cutting wood. Your pickup truck will definitely need a good scrub down. You can vacuum and wash the floor mats as well as clean out the truck bed. You’ll also want to check your fluids under the hood.

Vacuum & Wash the Floor Mats

Remove all floor mats in front and back so you can vacuum carpets and upholstery. Tackle those hard-to-reach areas beneath the seats. Go ahead and wash your floor mats and use an approved cleaner to wipe them down.

Clean out the Truck Bed

Remove any tools or equipment that you may store in the truck bed before cleaning. The best idea is to completely spray it down to remove any dirt and debris. You can then scrub it before you rinse it out again. Leave it out in the sunlight to dry.

Under the Hood

Don’t forget to check the engine bay for debris and clean it with a damp cloth. It’s also a good idea to inspect hoses and belts for signs of wear and tear. If you regularly perform these quick DIY inspections, it’ll help to keep your Hyundai running smoothly.

Check Your Fluids

Make sure to refill your windshield wiper fluid and check, top off, or change your motor oil, brake, and transmission fluids. And don’t neglect those wiper blades. They could probably use a refresh, too.
