Slaughter Pen Trail

Riding a bike can be totally exhilarating. This trail is pretty intense and will provide a great adrenaline rush for those looking for a great place to ride. While its name might sound a little sketchy, the Slaughter Pen Trail is a great place for some bike riding. There are downhill trails, skinny trails, a jump park, and log rides, so riders of all ages can find somewhere to explore. You’ll find over 20 miles of accessible trails here. The Slaughter Pen Trail is located at 203 Northeast 3rd Street.

North Bentonville Trail

Another great trail for bicycle riding is the North Bentonville Trail. Relatively short at just 4.2 miles, this is a great spot if you live in town and need to get a quick workout in. This trail is paved, but is shaded with trees and is an easy ride for bikers of all ages and abilities. The North Bentonville Trail is located at 3000 Northwest A Street.

Bentonville Bike Playground

Since its opening in 2016, the Bentonville Bike Playground has been a local favorite of bike riders of all types. This short one-acre track has a playground with different bridges and tunnels to ride over and through. There’s also a pump track to help develop riding skills. This is a great place to visit if you’re looking for somewhere to take the kids out to ride with you.

Coler Mountain Bike Preserve

At the Coler Mountain Bike Preserve, you’ll find 16 miles of prime mountain biking trails. The trails were built on the Northwest Arkansas greenways with over a mile of newer paved paths. There are also areas with rock, flyover trails, dual slalom, and cross-country paths. You’ll also come across different areas with jump features. As soon as you arrive you’ll be able to choose a path with the correct difficulty level for you. If you want to challenge yourself a little bit then you can amp it up on a more difficult trail.

Advanced riders can try their luck on the harder trails such as Rock Solid and the Coler’s double black downhill diamond trail. If you’re looking for an adrenaline rush then check out the Coler’s Peak One Hub and Drop the Hammer jumps. There are camping sites as well if you need a place to relax in between days on the trails.
