Since apps are designed to make your life easier, using them shouldn’t be difficult. Hyundai feels your pain and is helping to simplify your life with Hyundai Pay. Starting with the all-new 2024 Kona, Hyundai hopes to make your life a little easier with its in-vehicle payment service, Hyundai Pay. You’ll now be able to pay for items or services straight from the touchscreen in your Kona and, eventually, other models as the technology becomes available. It allows you to store credit card information securely, so you only need to tap through a few screens to take care of your business.

Currently, the system is designed to pay for parking. We all know how much of a headache it can be to not only find parking, but once you find parking, is there even a spot? Then you have to find a way to pay for it. Do you have to use coins? Cash? Does it even take cash? Will it take my debit card? How do you even use the machine? There is no machine. It wants you to download an app. There’s no service where you’re at, and you’re already late. You don’t have time to sit and deal with this. If all of this sounds familiar, we’ve been there, too.

Thankfully, Hyundai is always thinking about enhancing the driver’s experience. That’s why they’ve teamed up with Parkopedia to introduce this new parking payment system. This innovative system empowers U.S. drivers to discover, reserve, and effortlessly pay for parking at over 6,000 locations. Believe it or not, you can do all this conveniently from inside your Hyundai, following a simple initial setup.

Launched with the Kona last fall, Hyundai plans to expand Hyundai Pay to nine more models through model year updates or seamless over-the-air upgrades, integrating Parkopedia’s comprehensive parking payment services. Looking ahead, the Hyundai Pay platform is designed to evolve and add new features and offerings tailored to electric vehicle needs.

The Hyundai Pay platform revolutionizes the driving experience by integrating convenient payment options directly into the vehicle’s touchscreen and Bluelink-connected car system. Hyundai Pay focuses on customer convenience and security, and streamlines parking services to address drivers’ challenges. The seamless integration of Parkopedia’s payment platform enables drivers to easily access and pay for parking easily.

According to Parkopedia’s 2023 Global Driver Survey, many U.S. drivers find parking difficult, highlighting the demand for in-car parking services. Hyundai Pay addresses this demand, providing a solution that aligns with drivers’ evolving needs. Hyundai Pay How-To

To enroll, you must have an active Bluelink account.
You’ll also need MyHyundai with Bluelink.
Once you have all of the above and downloaded the app, select “Utilities” in the bottom left corner.
Under “Utilities,” you’ll select “Hyundai Pay.”
Follow the directions to enroll, which include agreeing to terms and conditions, selecting a vehicle, and adding a payment.
Enter your license place number, which is required when paying for parking spaces.
Select the credit card you’d like to use.
Make sure to add “Linked Merchants” so you can add parking and/or charging partners affiliated with Hyundai Pay.
Now that you’re registered and payment is set up, you can find a destination using your touchscreen.
Select “Search Near POI” and then select “Parking.”
Filter the search results by “Hyundai Pay” to locate available lots.
Select the desired lot and then the information icon.
To reserve a spot in this lot, click the Hyundai Pay icon. You can even enter the date and times you need to reserve the spot.
Once everything is correct, press “Pay” and enter your MyHyundai with Bluelink PIN to complete the transaction.
Set the parking lot as your destination and head that way!
