For those looking to enjoy a quiet picnic with the family, check out our list of some of the best places for picnics that Bentonville, AR has to offer.

6 Best Places for Picnics in and Around Bentonville, AR

1. Orchards Park

Our first park is one of the most popular with locals. Located in the heart of town, Orchards Park features a manmade lake full of koi fish, turtles, and a nice fountain. A playground and a splash pad offer entertainment for the kids while the wildflower meadow, often full of tulips, creates an incredible ambiance. The pavilion is a great place to sit back, relax and enjoy the scenery or throw a little picnic. It’s also a popular spot for events like watching the Fourth of July fireworks display.

2. Park Springs Park

This next park gets its name from the spring that runs through the town which features a number of small waterfalls that line its wooded trail. The park also offers a swing set, playground, and a large shaded pavilion available for private bookings. The pavilion also boasts a fireplace available for use by the public.

3. Dave Peel Park

Another great option for a quick picnic is this mini-park. Its playground is popular with local families with young children and the pavilion is great for birthday parties or any occasion. Picnic tables and benches are spaced throughout the park making it ideal for any small gathering while in the downtown area.

4. Austin-Baggett Park

This next park is cozy at a little over an acre in size. It has two playgrounds for children of different ages, several picnic tables, and a small pavilion perfect for any intimate gathering. The park also has plenty of open green space to enjoy with pets or throwing a ball. One of the perks is the park’s large amount of shade created by numerous trees. It’s the perfect spot to escape the heat.

5. Osage Park

At the entrance of the park, you’ll find several food trucks, a lovely pavilion, and the pickleball courts. There are plans for a dog park and an archery range but in the meantime, there are plenty of walking trails including the Wetlands Boardwalk. The park also connects to Lake Bentonville where with a fishing license you can catch catfish, trout, and bream. Since it’s next to the municipal airport you can see small aircraft take off and land over the park.

6. Memorial Park

The final spot on our list is the largest clocking in at 73 acres in area. Featuring an Olympic-sized pool, a four-board diving pool, and a wading pool with a raindrop fountain, this is a great spot to cool off. The complex also boasts numerous sports fields and courts, a walking trail, a skatepark, and a large covered pavilion great for a picnic or any event.
