The 2023 Kona comes in eight trim levels: SE, SEL, N Line, Limited, N, Electric SE, Electric SEL, and Electric Limited. This engine is paired with a seven-speed manual transmission. You can also choose an electric engine that provides 201 horsepower or 150 kW and 291 pound-feet of torque. It comes with a single-speed transmission.

With the 2.0-liter motor, it can get 30 mpg in urban areas and 35 mpg on the open road. With all-wheel drive, this SUV gets 28 mpg in traffic and 33 mpg on the highway. Trims with the 1.6-liter engine can get 29 mpg in traffic and 35 mpg on larger roads. With all-wheel drive, they get 27 mpg in the city and 29 mpg at higher speeds. Electric vehicles have a 258-mile range. A standard charge takes about nine hours, but charging can take as little as 47 minutes with a 100-kilowatt charging cable.
